Computer & Blue Blocking
- Computer lenses are specifically designed for comfortable, long-term computer use.
- There are 3 types of computer lenses: Single Vision, Lined Bifocal, and No-Line Progressives.
- Single Vision computer will focus at the computer distance (for those with an add power on their Rx, the lenses will only work at the computer distance).
- Lined Bifocal computer, have distance on top and reading in the segment.
- Progressive no-line have two options: Computer or Workspace (up to 10 feet of clarity, optimized for close range). See below for more info.
- All of our computer lenses have blue light filtering options to reduce the effects of digital device blue light emissions
Progressive Computer Lenses allow for comfortable close range viewing, preventing the uncomfortable head-tilt often experienced with using a computer with an all-around progressive. The two Shamir options and features are detailed below:
Shamir Workspace
With clear vision up to 10 feet, optimized for close range, the Workspace lens is an excellent lens for indoor use.
Shamir Computer
With clear vision up to 5 feet, the Computer lens provides the widest fields of view for computer and reading, perfect for large computer monitors.
